Woohoo, the red haddoni is settling in well, and the brown has settled besides it. Picture doesn't show them justice, plus they're on a FW light, so no blue light to enhance their colour. The green haddoni is greeting more colour each day :-)

Awesome dude, stunning stuff! They clowns will be in heaven! :thumbsu:

Very nice BB!!! I made the error of wandering into Reef Secrets today for a browse and although I haven't kept marines for over 20 years after that visit its got me thinking. Grabbed a couple of pics of one of the display tanks. Chatted to one of the guys there and marine keeping has advanced heaps since my olden days. Good luck and look forward to seeing your updates.

I have to admit, marine is always tempting (but also daunting) for now I'm happy just watching your tank come together BB. It's looking great so far! :D

The haddonis look awesome BB! Good to see it's all coming together!!

Can't wait for my marine lights to arrive, and get the anemones to really colour up under the blue lights.....delighted with the progress to date :-)

Spectacular BB, well done! :thumbsu:

Unfortunately, I'm not much of a aquascaper.....given another opportunity, I'll have a tank with a reef / live rocks on one side (1/4 of the tank) with the remaining 3/4 just sand for the anemones....keeping it niece and simple.. I suppose this is really just a test run :-)

Hi blue your tank looks awesome dude I want to start a marine tank and breed sea horse.

But I don't know the start up cost. And if there is a market for seahorse. I would like to breed them they are cute as well been thinking about it for about 2 years but don't have the guts to do it or how to start up if anyone can give me tips I will appreciate it but

With out taking more time your tank looks awesome :)

And very informative post

The tank is coming along nicely bb, going to be fairly hands on but we'll worth the effort.

Cheers mick

Coming along just beautifully BB. Well done!!!

Thanks all.... Been testing my phosphates twice a day, just to get a handle and understanding to the phosphates levels after feeds etc.... Very hands on ATM, but loving the journey to date.

Got a anemone annoying me....it's the 1st anemone in the tank, and has planted its foot on the glass bottom, and between a dead clam shell.. Hate the way it extends it's body elongated up, rather then spread out/open like the other anemones

Tried using a scraper to agitate it, but didn't there to get too aggressive with it....will perhaps try the ice cube to the foot trick :-)

In my experience with anemones they will always go where you don't want them too, best way I've found the to stay put is to feed them well so they don't have to move to the place they find comfortable to get the best nourishment! :D

I've been enjoying following this thread.

A marine tank is something I'm always keen to have another crack at, but money as usual is the limiting factor.

Looking great Marcus! The colours are already brilliant, going to be amazing once your lighting is how you want it!

Great thread!

Awesome stuff BB, just beautiful! :thumbsu:

Thats looking real nice BB even without marine light :)
