  • Spotted another orange eye Tibee... Both are now berried :-) Didn't realise they were saddled, so not sure who's the male....but they're in my specific pinto tank, so a interesting mic nevertheless...

You know the mongrels can turn into stunners!!

Gotta love the escape artists, even if they do throw the breeding program off track somewhat!

Beautiful shrimp BB!!

Damn mongrels BB - as a favour to you I can make a tank available for all your mongrels :D don't you just love the Tibees there is something special about them. The Reds look very nice .

Thanks….the Tibee's/Fancy Tigers are fascinating, as there's so many directions you can take with them…….BUT more tanks required for selective breeding. In 2014, I'll release some Fancy Tigers for selective breeding, so for those interested, and have a spare tank, it's definitely worth the journey, as the variations are fascinating :-)

They look awesome dude, sounds like someone's going to have a lot of fun with them & I can't wait to see the new rack when it's finished, make sure you start a journal for it, hahaha. :smiley_simmons:

Noticed some colour shades developing from my tibee colony ....

red with embarrassment or anger ...

green with envy or about to puke ...

I like the greens over the red :)

What are you breeding the Tibees back to? I have 4 babies that I can see and mama is berried again . I have put both females into a tank with a male Panda but also a male Mischling as I am still doubtful the panda is interested in girls but I could be wrong with its gender too. Unfortunately I don't know what the Tibee has bred with previously and at the moment the youngsters just look like Tibees.

Ive got 2 tanks allocated to tibees, in my mongrel tank section"..LOL. One has all the reds..tibee's, TB's (WR/RR), mishling's (CRS) and OEBT's, and the other the blacks. Any patterns/colours that are created within these tanks, goes into another "higher" level section, and eventually work towards the pinto tanks.....yes, there is a hierarchy within my shrimp colony...:-)

And who would have thought its all about the humble mongrel LOL . I have 3 of my babies and the 2 girls in a 60 litre tank with the TB and Mischlings as I said. 1 of the babies has eluded me in the big rainbow tank in which there are TBM, CRS, CBS and Mischlings so what ever sex it is it will have a lot of choices to make more mongrels with! I will have to keep my eye out for any little strange shrimp in the future and hopefully there might be some brother and sisters in there that I haven't seen yet.

Dude!! You're are just playing with us now! Definitely some pretty cool colours & patterns in there, well done!!

If you ever run out of room I'm always happy to help hahaha :cheerful: Sweet shrimp though, keep us updated. The last picture you posted, the shrimp sort of looks like a nanashi shrimp (high grade ones sell for like $8100 in japan :))

Nice Brado, yeah the tibee's definitely gives more motivation for longer shrimp staring.

One of my favs tibee has been maturing, and yesterday at the perfect angle, I could see a saddle. I've been waiting for weeks to selectively breed her with a SSS/SS WR. Intended to separate her from the tibee colony, but failed to do so yesterday :-( Came home 2day, and noticed that she's already berried :-( No idea to whom....D'oh!

If it helps you out, I'll adopt all her babies so you don't have to worry about them! ;)

BB don't put all your eggs in one basket - best give Jamie half and me the rest good homes guaranteed.

Don't you just hate it when that happens especially when you know you should have sorted before you went out! I'm sure whatever she mated with is still a beautiful shrimp and you only have a month to wait before you can put her to your choice of stud! :sex: A months not soooooooo long !

I can't imagine that Marcus would have any actual 'ugly ducklings' in his tanks that she would have mated with!

Am sure the bubs will be stunning and like Ineke said, in another month you can make sure she has the right Romeo!
