Aqua Top PFUV Elite Series Power Filter w/ UV

Would this be suitable for my 6-gallon long Mr. Aqua tank? I was thinking of using it as a second filter to complement a dual sponge filter.

Change gallons from 12 to 6

I have a Mr Aqua 12G.

Love this tank.

But that filter alone is not going to be enough in such a long tank. There will be a lot of dead spots, ie stagnant water.

And with stagnant water, you will eventually face other issues. Better to get a small canister filter with outlet pushing water from one end to the other.

Sorry, I'm getting a 6-gallon long.  Could not locate the 12-gallon long anywhere in the U.S. So, since I will be using this as a second filter to a larger dual sponge filter in only a 6 gallon tank, and  I was just attempting to address oxidation and surface film with this second filter, will this suffice?

Yes, that will be ok. Certainly better than just the sponge filter.
