TWINSTAR Shrimp

Featured Replies

Twinstar

I've used them for a year in shrimp & fresh water tanks. there is no issue on shrimp lost. I have 5 in total super s, shrimp , nano(it's all depend on size of tank). Initially they don't have for shrimp product.

What my understanding is that it's similar like UV lights. They claim that they have lots of laboratory experiment on freshwater tank article-(Kill bad bateria, reducing or slow grow Algea)-.

When i talk to the inventor , it cannot be used in saltwater tank and no salt used in freshwater tank. I had an issued on low TDS tank which won't work. what they said is that safety measure ??( so i had to sent the controller back to them and they fixed it for me)

The controller programmed in Algorithm will figure out your tank environment. That's why its bubble on and off on different time.

Cleaning mesh wise , use a tooth brush or equvlent tool and need to replace the mesh about a year used (bubble may be visibly weak or less)

To be honest, I'm not too sure about efficiency side of it. I'm not a plant guy and not heavily using light nor fert.

However i can see algae is less on the tank.

Hopefully, BB put some more opinion on his exprience.

isn't the shrimp version designed as a more delicate version that's just for killing bacteria while the other versions kill bacteria + slow down algae growth?

Twinstar sterlises water by electrolysis as far as I know of.

Above is the explanation of how electrolysis sterlizes water.

However, it is only a suggestion from other aquarist, not a definite explanation from the manufacturer.

Also Twinstar shrimp is only differed from other models by its design and size, nothing much different in how it works.. as it seemed like.

We never know unless manufacturer comes out with a definite explanation :beaten:
