Hi,

Does anyone know how long the babies will stay attached to the female before they leave her and fend for themselves. Seems like all the babies on my female have hatched and have been stuck to her for about almost 1 week now.

I guess from the lack of a reply, no one knows for sure.

Maybe you can let us know what you have observed. Are the babies roaming around yet?

Would also live to see some baby crayfish pics

I found mine varied. The first ones will venture off mum and then go back again for awhile. If I am leaving them in the same tank as the mum i just let them drop off when they are ready which can take upwards of 2-3 weeks. Some times if the babies stay on too long I'll pick up mum and shake the rest off and move her to her own tank.

That's just my experience from Cherax Quadricarinatus.
