That is why it is imperative that you do the Drip acclimation which is an important process for aquarists to learn, especially those who want to put shrimp in their tanks. It is considered the most straightforward and safest method of acclimating shrimps.

    Not surprising, since your GH is high. That tank is due for a water change. Should improve with subsequent regular water changes (assuming the new water's parameters is lower in TDS). Make sure you test the TDS of the water you add in.

    Just tested tds which came out at 227…..
