Ha good try JayC . Not sure if I’m ready to come back as moderator just yet. I did delete a few pictures from a long way back but they weren’t good or clear pictures. I’m sure we will eventually find a way to enable me to post pictures again - well hopefully anyway.

As an ex-Moderator, you are in a unique situation Ineke. As a Mod, you had an unlimited attachment count. Ideally, we don't want images being deleted from the Forum, as they go towards making a post more interesting and relevant. Imagine if a post said ... "Refer to the image of this shrimp ..." and the picture was gone because the owner had to delete it to recover space. @Cesar is the site owner now. Hopefully he will chime in soon. I have not been a paid member for so long that I don't know if there is a limit or not. If I ever stopped being a Mod on this forum, I will face the same problem you have now. And hopefully, I won't have to go deleting my pictures, because a lot of my pictures are what makes my forum posts relevant. If there is no way around it, you just have to come back as an SKFA Mod. ?

Hi , over the years I have posted many pictures and now can’t post anymore as I’m over my limit. I’ve been trying to delete my old pictures and although I keep getting a message to manage my attachments I can’t find a way to delete any . So if anyone has any information on deleting old pictures please let me know. Thanks

Hi JayC , it seems I did all the right things . As I’ve mentioned I just thought there should be a mini cycle. The readings remain good so I will introduce some culls and see how they go. If we can work out how to allow pictures on my posts again I will keep the forum up to date on how the tank does over the next few weeks. I have a mixture of my leftover shrimp and some “ culls” from Marcus/ BlueBolts to play with

Hi Ineke, good to see you are still around. I don't see why it wouldn't be right. Mature filter with lots of beneficial bacteria already on it. Mature substrate that has most of the nitrogen already leaked out. Old water used. You have essentially recreated a mature tank using those "old" items in a newly setup tank. So yes, your tank should be cycled and you should be able to add livestock immediately.

It seems you are right. Although I have deleted some when I check my attachments they are still there although the pictures are no longer in the actual post. I wouldn’t have thought it would be so hard to do especially when I get the message I need to manage my attachments.

Thanks Simon . I have gone back to my oldest posts and deleted some very poor quality pictures. It will take me quite a while to delete from this way. Even if i were to pay again i think i have too many pictures. It’s been fun reading through my old posts and seeing how many questions i had and how patient the members were with me.
