Right now I put a apple snail in their tank.... it seems to be very considerate not to run over the shrimp lol and the shrimp occasionally hitches a ride on it. Now my concern is the soon to be shrimplets.... will this snail become a issue for them?

As far as I'm aware, the pheromones are different for each genus (caridina and neocaridina), so they won't affect other males. I might be wrong though. My blue dreams and tangerine tigers breed around the same time generally, so that I can't really tell. I just get a couple of days with mad little males, and then everyone chills a bit. Also, I've never seen those raccoon tigers before, and they are SO COOL!!!

Make that 9+ Raccoon shrimp I got 3 more. And why I said + is 2 of them are berried...question I’m told that female shrimps let out a pheromone will that effect both species males to go batty or will it only effect the same species of shrimp? It’s very interesting to watch them. They seem to love bug bites and literally grab a piece and take off with it and another will try to take it from them. I eventually plan to move the news to their own tank. Now the offspring of these shrimp might not be 100% raccoon tiger the mothers were with crystal blacks.
