Yes, of course you can add anything to it. That's the beauty of the recipe. My advise after making several batches so far, use only half the ingredient list. The recipe makes too much food for the average shrimp keeper. Freeze anything that is not going to be fed in the coming week. Always 'try' to not touch the agar agar with your hands to avoid bacteria growing on it. Oh! I posted this free recipe to the community to help shrimp keepers out. But the price of using this food is a picture or two of the shrimp eating it. ?

Just counted 6 newborns!!! About 6 inches from the feeding dish, i was trying to count berried girls and just watching them go to town on some pieces of rephashy. Then accidentally seen a tiny clear spec move against the black diamond sand.

Lucky you caught it. I bet stuff like that happens more often, but we don't notice. Especially if you have a crowded tank.

Sorry to hear about the moult but it sounds like you are doing well with trying to save the eggs, good luck with it all! The video is very interesting and has some good advice. I've not seen this happen or tried it, but that doesn't mean it hasn't happened of coarse! This is a similar thing that happened, https://skfaquatics.com/forum/forums/topic/14285-a-shrimp-molted-got-eggs-and-died/ Good luck! Simon
