Thank you for all your advice! I finally know the problem. I was using test strips to test the water... Now I know how inaccurate they are. The water had a GH of 12... I think that's what killed the shrimp. It's weird cause I had low KH(3) and TDS(114) but the GH was very high. What could be the reason for this? I thought that the hardness always goes together. After a big water change now I have KH=2, GH=6.4, Ph=6.5, NO2/3=0. Since then I haven't had any more losses. I will definitely vacuum the substrate and maybe buy a filter. Thank you all.

Yeah with the guppies in the tank it’s the only way I can keep the babies alive. So when I see one with berries I put it in there till they hatch. its not in the picture but on both tanks I also have hang on side air assisted clear plastic breeder tanks also raising baby shrimp. With java moss in them. just had a green jade drop 20 or so last night. im working on starting another tank to keep the guppies so I can have neos only in the tank with the pea gravel. I definitely got hooked on being Shrimpy..... I noticed that 2 of my red cherries turned almost fully green over the course of a week, why is that? aslo as an update in my third tank I changed the gravel to Aqueon shrimp substrate to prepare for cardenia only after the ro system comes next week. I’m glad I found you guys to help me in what I was doing wrong. thank you

Hello all. I’m interested in starting a new breeding project and looking for advice on cross breeding of what you recommend. I have the following caridina below...if you had the shrimp below, what two would you breed and why? What would you expect the offspring to be? Thanks in advance for your help Blue bolt, Dominant White Tiger, Crystal red, Crystal black, Golden Bee, Galaxy pinto, Shadow panda, tangerine tiger -David

I’m not sure if you recall the previous conversation, but I ended up with a product that was not what you recommended. I had some confusion because ordering from amazon I got keyholed, where I didn’t see the exact product you suggested based on whatever I searched for...... However, One and Only seems to have cured this after using H2O2 to nuke the bacteria in the tank and replacing with this bottle bacteria: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B001LUOI92?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title I’m not sure, but I feel though it’s what fixed my issue.
