Exciting news: I just purchased 15 tangerine tiger shrimp from a local breeder, in exchange for some of my abundance of endler fry. I’m starting the drip acclimation now, along with my other two tts males who I’m moving from my larger tank. I’ll add some photos down below once they’re in the tank. Will acclimate another hour and a half probably, and feed the fish a bit extra before they go in for safety. There’s heaps of good hiding places in this tank, and I can’t wait to see the shrimp utilising them (or hopefully not even see them)! Will update soon. Cheers, Crabby

Finally got them all in the tank, all is well, but it's 11 pm so it seems I may have miscalculated the duration of the acclimation. Top tip guys: if you wanna sleep, don't buy your shrimp at 7 pm! All the shrimp have settled in fantastically (in the 15 mins they've been in the tank) and I am already so happy to have this. Honestly, when I got into the hobby this is what I was looking for. Not 10 shrimp scattered through a giant 110 Litre aquarium, who I can never see. A small tank with nearly 20 shrimp, so I can see at least 10 at a time, with very small fish who interact with the shrimps, and the shrimp being out and about and happy. It's really fantastic, and I'm remembering again why I got into fish- and shrimp-keeping in the first place. Will assess the shrimp tomorrow, check for any problems, but for now I am stoked with my new shrimp. Here's a couple of photos below, of the shrimp on my hair algae tufts and moss balls. Made me so happy to see them enjoying those.

I don’t think so—not if it’s a fungus. I could be wrong since I don’t know exactly what it is. I can’t seem to find a single pic of this on another shrimp; it’s bizarre.

You sure? This is pure white...all of the others I saw were green or yellow.

I also have 25 bloody Mary shrimp coming today for the old fish tank! As you say got to get in whilst I can before lock-down or something, I figured it was this week or who knows after that? Hopefully the fish will get here next week but they are waiting for them in stock so it may not happen I guess? I hope you get your tts ok! Simon

Alternatively you can always post it on a free hosting website and provide the link. However, we encourage people to sign up for Platinum membership, which removes all upload restrictions (within reasonable limits). And it really helps out with maintenance of this site. If you find the resources here worthwhile, it's a good idea to support the site. Had a look at your vid. That's fungus. Malachite Green should do the job.

No. So far I haven’t seen any examples of it, not exactly. If I could Frankenstein from multiple parasites, I’d have it! Lol. Wish I could post a pic. I tried to change my phone’s settings and was unsuccessful. I have a great video of it, too. ☹️

Haha yes, gotta stock up while you can. I’m getting 15 tts tonight for my 5 gallon, to try to breed them again, as I only have males left (thanks sexist apistogrammas ?). Then I’ll be fully set to breed and sell happily while we’re in self isolation. Those are some really beautiful species of rasbora, can’t wait to see yours.

Hi all, I’m confused about the ID on this parasite/infection my neo has. She has nothing on her head/rostrum at all...it seems to be mostly around her eggs, with some on her shell, off to the side. I’ve done one salt dip on her already, and no change so far. I have some great pics of it, but even a single pic is apparently much to be posted here. Can someone help me out with that? Newbie, here. ?
