Just want to make sure you used aquarium salt and not table salt with iodine.

Hello folks, So I have a tank that only has Taiwan Bee shrimp for about a month now. I haven't noticed any parasites until just yesterday when I watched a shrimp molt. It is a small white worm, maybe 1-2mm long that wriggles around and attaches to the nose of the shrimp. But it can also easily detach and land on a nearby part. Is it scutariella or leeches? I guess normally the shrimp can just brush it off, since I haven't noticed it on any other shrimp this whole time, ever. But only when molting does the shrimp just ignore it for more important things. Should I try to do a whole tank treatment, or just ignore the issue for now, since I don't see it anymore?

Does this help? Do they look like the ones in the video? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QFv-dqemaDw I assume you know they aren't just detritus worms which are usual to a tank and harmless! Simon edit - another vid https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DvFzlikQE24

The one I sent links too is a natural plant extract (I believe) and it worked on my hydra effectively and didn't harm the shrimps or snails or plants and you just add one dose and your done! It isn't actually meant for what you think it may be and I understand it can get expensive buying different things to try when you don't know whether it will work, but I would give it a try as it isn't too expensive and it won't harm anything even if it doesn't work? Try a second dose though if it doesn't work first time as you will have it to hand anyway and as I say, it won't do any harm to anything else, except possibly snails but mine were fine? Actually looked at the links and they are out of stock so you will need to find somewhere else that sells it or wait, sorry about that! Simon

They both look berried to me! The eggs start yellow and then change colour as the yolk is used up so they are at an early stage! The eggs of mine go grey as they mature and they are microscopic and clear coloured when newborn so there maybe a period where the eggs have gone and you can't see the shrimplets, until they colour up a bit and start roaming/venturing out and about? Thats a very nice snail also! Simon

Yes, I am from the U.S., California specifically. I am sure the product i used has the proper amount of fenbendazole. It is the brand safegyard and is specifically a dog dewormer with 22% fenbendazole per gram. If this was inefffective, I am not sure if using other products containing the same ingredient would be worth the investment

Yes, not abnormal. Maybe they got more food than the smaller ones.

Is it normal to have some shrimps grow much faster than others from the same batch? Some of these are nearly 1/2 the size of the others? Hmmm. All seem healthy, and have some great markings. I didn’t anticipate that big of a size difference. fingers crossed!!!

I can’t tell with the first one, but the second definitely looks berried to me.

Excuse the blurry pictures, but by chance, could these be eggs?? 2 of my cherry shrimp look like this, very "plump" around the back.
