You might have witnessed breeding behaviour. Look out for a berried shrimp.

K know I'm late to the party. I have one of these. The light for the 12 gallon Edge is a bit more bright. It's not high light by any means, but it does help some. For pros: It looks really nice. I have mine with black sand and some plants. I have java moss, a crypt, an anubias. Cons: You can't keep very many things in it. Shrimp, a few snails. I've kept 3 black neon tetras in mine for a long time. If it's not level, you will get a bubble that you need to get rid of with a class cleaner after you fill it back up. If you are looking to use a sponge filter instead of a hob, then you will need to put it the middle of the tank. It might look neat, or awful, depending on what you do with it. It can be heard to work when you want to plant something and for cleaning.

Found this, and many like it, on the glass of my shrimp tank. Sorry for the poor pic. Anybody know what it is?

Thank you for the link... Amazon carries for $24.95. Will come in handy. Eleocharis Acicularis. I will read up on the hair grass more, hopefully it won't become a "one plant wonder" or else I'll remove it to another tank with higher light. I have a neat little Pawfly LED on the tank that has dimmer mode capibilty with RGB. I find if I keep light too high the Java moss suffers. I don't have any experience running c02 especially in a shrimp tank. There is a Fluval system that could be considered because it is a small tank. Probably not very cost effective though! https://tropica.com/en/plants/plantdetails/Eleocharisacicularis'Mini'(132BTC)/4571 https://www.amazon.ca/Fluval-Mini-Pressurized-20g-CO2-Kit/dp/B0049RL3H4/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=fluval+co2+kit&qid=1572205301&sr=8-1

You are only paying for the looks, if its a must, the aquaclaer is a good filter, but you can remove it for a jayc say, add a canister filter. The light isnt very good, but you can add a light by placing it on the glass, but will spoil the look.

Yep, just skip forward to multi tank syndrome ?
