Wha?! You breed them without even doing anything?!! I'm going to start doing the same I think. Put them into the backyard in a small pond and only catch the nicest ones for one display tank in the house. I have too many tanks indoors, got to reduce them somehow. How do you ensure mossies don't breed in your ponds? Cause fish and shrimp don't really mix.

Thanks Jayc. I have had to close my shrimp room due to pain issues but have kept many of my shrimp. Unfortunately that meant losing my pureline TB genes. I recently added Tiger genes back into the mix so I have many F1/2 Taitbees that are quite plain. Now they are in with the TB I expect there will be some nice surprises in the coming months. I have them in a 200 litre tank so I have a reasonable number of shrimp still. Plus a tank of Yellows from my Tangerine Tigers - I think people are selling them as yellow KK although mine are from pure Tangerine that I have line bred back to yellow and I thought Yellow KK were hybrids. I also have several hundred Taitibees outside in my pond. I breed them tough as we have had weeks of very high temps over 37 to over 40 and they are still thriving with many berried girls. It will be interesting to catch some out later to see what I have. These were mostly plain F 1/2/3 but I have added some not so good reds and blacks with good colour and pattern genetics in them. They have been outside for just over 12 months now and the numbers seem to be climbing so I'm obviously not losing many .
