Hello, sorry it took me so long to respond. I tested my water parameters shortly after posting and all was within normal limists. I did as recommended and only changed ~10%, which for me would be 6 gallons, but I only change 5 because its easier. Since then the 2 remaining CRS I had stayed alive, no reproduction because I think they were both male. I waited a few months to see if that was the issue before purchasing more. I bought 10 more online and they are still alive. I also turned off the propeller. I still have the splash bar, which doesn't make too much flow overall, and I think it helps with oxygenating the tank. I read a few of you suggest that I switch from salty shrimp GH KH to just the Salty shrimp GH, I will do so. thanks everyone for your help.

Today i boiled some chinese spinach for these guys and my! Im looking at lots of holes in the leaf within a few minutes! First time feeding them this, as far as fresh foods go, they have only eaten strawberry tops and hibiscus flowers(they did not eat those with much vigor) Got inspired by all of you here that feed fresh. I got regardless how popular all the commrcially prepared food one buys for them, nothing beats garden fresh? Thank you for inspiring, Jo Sent from my SM-N950F using Tapatalk

Just sharing a completed project. Bought 12 tetras awhile back, 4 glowight tetras and 8 neon tetras. Bought them for the purpose of creating a community tank(my very first tank- 16litre tank) However, after reading more on the internet, i decided to remove them all as i did not want my bloody mary(@zoidburg, thanks for the id) shrimplets to become fish food. So i put them in a holding tank for awhile, intending to set up a tank exclusively for them(41litre tank). This project however got delayed much further than i had planned as there were problems that arised from the main shrimp tank housing bloody marys and crystals. Long story short, these tetras survived a bout of fin rot and some gill issues with seachem paraguard and today, they are in their new home. I started the fishless cycle and waited for 2weeks, adding 2 dead shrimps to feed the bacteria and leaving it all there to decay. Happy to see them in a better environment, pictures at the bottom. They are probably a little overwhlemed now but should perk right back once they become familiar with the new waterscape. Sent from my SM-N950F using Tapatalk

That looks like another male, assuming they are developed enough, but if you had one with eggs before I assume they are developed enough! Thats ok though as you can always buy some females a bit later on when you feel confident enough that you have enough experience/knowledge. The 3 you have are very pretty and each has different grade colouring. We can always hope I am wrong of coarse............. Simon

The crystals look like males to me, are there any more in the tank that may be female? Simon

Great photos. I will be feeding mine spinach tomorrow, I usually do spinach saturday but got friends visiting tomorrow so if I do the spinach then they can see more shrimps as it brings them all out. It may even entice your baby yellows out so keep a close eye, but they may be a little too small yet, I see some baby red cherries though! Simon ps Anyone tempted to use spinach MUST be organic.

Yep. It's cheaper too, and you KNOW it's good for them. So win-win.

That being said, if it IS a wild type neo, it's one of the prettiest ones I've seen ? Maybe you discovered a new species, "Leopard Cherries"
