How successful are people with shrimp breeding in a nano tank for things like selective breeding programs? I've got a 15ish litre arm and thinking of getting a 30l cause they look pretty cool. Lol

Yeah. That's what got me into the hobby, those pretty CRS. You can stick with Cherrys using tap water if you don't want to go to RO water equipment. There are so many Neo caridina varieties that can keep you occupied. Or you start collecting rain water, unless you live in an apartment. It rains everyday in Sing, so there is no shortage of that. Rain water and my DIY remineraliser (https://skfaquatics.com/forum/topic/7159-diy-remineralisation-for-ro-or-rain-water/).

Is that a trick question? Remineralised RO of course.

I move the tibee to a 50 liter with hybrids. In the 100 liter i loose the babies of the tibee, i dont know something in the water. Also see some planaria. And i want to risk it so i move them , and add no planaria in the 100. Now its empty. Here are the hybrids... There are a lot.. From tangerine tigers, cbs , crs.. I got in F1 spoted head . From taiwan i get 3 king kongs . Also tibee x tibee give only tibee... not hybrids, i know that because they are new and small.

This colour variant pops up in my CRS colonies every so often. What is it? Thank you. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk

Just remembered about this thread and thought I'd update some pics. It's definitely come a long way

Thanks for all the great advice guys. I just wanted to come by and give a update. You guys were correct and she is a female. Since my original post, she has actually had 3 batches of babies so far totaling 30-40 shrimps that survived and is currently berried. She's my best female breeder currently and has made me proud!

G'day Guys, Today I made the trip to visit Green Chapter to pick up some items. They are more of a normal aquarium shop but I thought you may enjoy some pictures. The shrimps. They sold a few different PRL lines, pintos and tb's. The were bloody Mary's and gold backs. Other live stock tanks. Other stock they sold. Last but not least their beautiful planted display tanks. Unfortunately I was not able to spend heaps of time in this store as the wife was waiting haha. Again I hope you enjoy the pictures and sorry for the bad photography. This is what I got myself here but I am pretty sure everyone has got these now. Going to try visit a couple more stores if possible and one more trip to AC. Cheers

Yeah it's a great place for a holiday. Great cheap food, good shopping and lots of things to do. Now I keep learning of new places to visit for my hobby so it's even better lol. It does suck but as you told me before eventually everything becomes available we just got to be patient. I believe we have some great breeders and the pintos I have seen can almost be matched by the one we have in Australia. Got to borrow the father in laws car.
