    I have kept my Neos in Caridina WP"s for over 6 years. The quality of the shrimp seems to stay just as good as when they were in Neo WP"s. Initially you may see a slight slowing down of breeding but then they just take off. As you can see my Yellows aren't suffering

    Drip acclimatise them initially, so they don't get a shock to the new conditions.

    The first test I would attempt with him would be move him to a different tank with possibly different pH and gH but not too extremely different to its current water parameters. This should show you how "stable" its green colouration is, if it keeps the same colouration without turning too yellow or brown then I would say it would be a good candidate for further breeding.
