Ok I will get a TDS meter and watch for any changes in PH/KH/TDS. The test kit tests for Phosphate, Calcium, Nitrate, Nitrite, Ammonia, pH High Range, pH Low Range, Carbonate Hardness, General Hardness, and Iron. Beside the TDS is there other additional parameters I need to be testing for? The tank does have a little plastic plate that fits over the overflow holes but it doesn't affect the power of the pump. If you raise is eventually the filter chamber water level just gets lower and lower. I really appreciate your help, out of 3 different forums you have been the only person to really help and provide some guidance. I don't know what I am doing wrong but I must be forum handicapped

Sad day today when i stripped down the old tank, but glad work has finally begun in earnest to see this project out. Stand under construction Leveling in position - floor was out 31mm side to side and 18 front to back.... that's a lot of packers 19mm AA grade marine ply cut and scribed to unsquare wall. Will be lime washed and sealed Mark out for tank so we can begin plumbing layout. I'm still not sure on how to drill this, right hand side, rear panel or base. Or the size but I do have a local glass guy I can use for the job. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Ok, so here is an interesting post for those interested in automating your fish room... https://www.dfrobot.com/blog-733.html The idea would be to automatically detect water parameters and adjust by triggering water changes from standby R.O. reserves. Check out the parts list included in the blog post: + PH Sensor Meter + ORP Sensor Meter + Conductivity Meter + Temprature Sensor + Turbidity Sensor ( Measures particles in the water ) + Liquid Level Sensor + Oxygen Sensor The ideas are starting to flowing... Maybe it's not too late to get these parts on the 2017 Aquatic Holiday Wish List!
