G'day - I was wondering what these were - one was dark green and the other was light brown - they are from a creek in Victoria that used to have alot of Spiney blue crayfish in it - but now these brutes have taken over

Seed shrimp. some think they are unsightly, especially if they multiply too much. But it's a sign of good water quality ... and that you are feeding a bit too much.

Hi everyone I stay in sunny Scotland. I have been keeping shrimp now for about 9 months now and it has become quite addictive!!!! At the moment i have Shadow Masura Flowerheads, Blue shadow Masura, Red shadow Masura, Blue Bolts, Red Bolts, Fire Red Sakura, Orange Sakura, Orange eyes Black Tiger (if anyone has any for sale i would love to buy more), Red Tigers, Tangerine Tigers, Yellow King Kongs, PRL Just bee, ,Super reds, Spotted heads, Fancy Tigers, Apple Green, Red Backlines, Red and black , Blue Carbon Rhili, CRS, BRS. I think that is everything. I have been breeding quite well but a few of these shrimp are new arrivals but am trying to get my numbers up and seem to be doing ok with it. My tanks they vary from 15x20litre tanks for the shrimp i have the fewest of the other tanks i have 4x45l, 6 x110l breeding cubes, 1 6ftx18x12" split into 3 about 70l each, 1 6ftx18x12 split into 6 about 35l, 1 6ftx18x12 split into one section half about 100l and then split into another 3 about 35l. Filter wise i use different sizes of bio filters. As for food i use a variety from Royal, Benabichi, hikari, Glasgarten, variety of dried leaves and Bee pollen, about 15 different types of foods. Water change i normally do 25% weekly for smaller tanks and for the bigger tanks i do 10% the water Filtering i have a three stage large capacity filters. I have kept fish for numerous years and bred Discus fish for years so getting water just right i am well used too!
