Some of the aquarium dividers are installed and I'm pretty happy with how they are looking. We've used some small PVC tube with a slot cut in the middle to anchor and support the 2mm acrylic sheet as well as using the little plastic clips at the top (they came with the aquariums as supports for the lid). We have left a gap of around 23mm at the bottom and i will layer it up high with some fairly chunky gravel in the middle where the divisions are to allow enough flow to keep WP fairly well matched in both sections. LED controller has been built and we Have also finished 3/4 draining and moving out all of the smaller tanks into the room next door while we install shelving and modify the built in robe. Tanks have been filled back up with fresh remineralised RO and the shrimps seem to have handled the move OK and I haven't detected any spikes in parameters. Some shrimps in my yellow colony seem a little paler than I had thought but I think they'll bounce back alright. [emoji173][emoji111][emoji445] will

I got some nice specimen from my mix-aquarium with TB's, pinto's, taitibees etc, etc, The first 2 photos (I think) must be a mix from a pinto zebra and a kingkong, The red one is probably a red tiger and the same father? I've got 2 of the blacks and about 10 of the red ones, I have put them apart from the rest and see what the next genereation will be. Sorry for the quality of the photo's, they're just from my iPhone, the macrolens I ordered hasn't arrived yet :-( Greetings from the Netherlands

Welcome to SKF From my understanding Pinto are set patterns but are still technically hybrids of Tigers and TB. Yes You can breed two Mischlings and TB can appear from the Offspring but it usually occurs more often in the later generations around 6-7. This is a grey area. Some people say if TB's from mischlings breed true after 10 generations then they are true bees again and some say you always need to mention that they came from Mischlings. I just top up my water. I have substrate and plant and mosses everywhere. Maybe someone else can help answer this question. I recommend getting a TDS pen and GH tests I think they are very important and help give you very important information. I also recommend you get a buffering soil if you plan on keeping TB's. I assume the tds from your rain water should be low but if you cant test it you never know. If it is low you may need to buy some Salty Shrimp GH+ or DIY. I think your set up seems fine the way it is. I always go with the extra filtration but its up to you.

This is what they look like removed And now they are out I can start working out where the baffles and divider sections will be. This is my planned markup of the sump layout - open to comments or suggestions to modify or improve the design. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Asking Forgiveness is easier than asking permission! Haha no, my wife was going to get me this tank and cabinet for our tenth anniversary, but the baby came first :) now I get to run the project myself! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Custom built Komoda - had to wait 3 months for it be built and shipped 1500x600x600 15mm Opticlear Low iron glass Beveled edges to all sides Even came with dark grey foam mat. Silicone is ludicrously clean, I've not actually seen anything this neat in Cade, Ada or Fire. They really went above and beyond for this tank as a test run. Perhaps with enough demand/interest they may make more this size. just look at it! https://vimeo.com/163976181 couldn't resist shining some light into the cage Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sprae - TB's a more sensitive and difficult in comparison to CRS's....so definite progression would be cherries, CRS's, TB's ......Like many, lots of $$$ spend with no success, but with failure comes wisdom/experience, and eventually hopefully success. fishmosy - $$$ is unfortunatley one of the main motivators of decisions. So a person venturing into TB's may not want to spend the $ on an immediate colony, and purchase just 1 TB, to prove and gain confidence of their shrimp breeding skill. If a hobbyist just want to purchase 1 TB, I tend to recommend getting a male...this way, he can berry as many female CRS/CBS, and get the TB genetics into your breeding stock. There are more potential issues with berried females, so to be on the safe and productive side of the breeding equation, having one berried TB female vs several berried CRS female off a TB gives you more numbers and favourable odds. TB x Mischling will give you a good potential of TB's within it's off springs, whereas mischling x mischling = potentially 0.
