Or the large tank could be used for mixing different shrimp species together that can hybridize and then see what type of offspring you get from them! ;) If you start with "pure" shrimp (i.e. not mixes) then it'll be at least 3-4 generations before you'll start to see interesting colored offspring. From there, you could then choose the ones you like the best and put them in their own tanks for selective breeding.1 point

There is never enough tanks for selective breeding. LOL! I would use the larger tank for better looking shrimp. the larger volume of water would be better for the shrimps, and you would be able to maintain a more stable water parameter. The culls can go into the small tank. If you sell them off, or give them away, then they shouldn't be in the small tank for long anyway.1 point
