@jc12 you sir are a LEGEND! The syringe trick worked perfectly on all three of my tanks!!!! Thankyou so much! I can sleep well tonight [emoji39]

So far I have noticed two issues with them. 1. Suction cups loose suction and not sticking on glass after some time even though the suction cups still feel pliable, unlike some of the cheap suction cups that 'hardens' after being submerged in water for some time. I don't have a solution for this. Currently, I let the filters 'sit' on the substrate. 2. Losing their 'output' like what you have described above. The part that clogs up is at the joint between the transparent tube and the grey bit. If you pull out the tube and look inside the grey bit, you will see little holes that allow air to pass through. Give those holes a brush and output should resume. Another way without getting your hands wet is to use a syringe and forcefully purge air through the airline a few times and it will purge the gunk out. The output should resume after the 'purge'. Hope this helps.

Couldn't resist in adding some more pictures of the beauties, the hardest part is selecting which pictures out of the hundreds taken are good enough to upload. What is nice to see is that even non-berried shrimp will be carrying interesting patterns. The annoying thing is having to wait for the different types to emerge out of the depths of the plants and log for photos, before the snails manage to swarm over the food.

Yes, I understand with what you say Baccus. I caught a 10th of new ones today, including some black tiger looking like. That's a thing I was wondering about: are all the different colors I find are just offspring's, or are they trully different? Here are some pics of the new critters. Sorry for the poor quality, I really need to buy a better camera, rather than the one from my phone. They are "reddish" for the moment, they will be black & white in 2 more days, after they settled in their new home and calm down. This one has more white than the others

Thanks for all the input. Now that i have a starting point i guess i can start the process of multiple years of frustration and hopefully at the end success. I will update this thread when i start/ when any interesting developments happen, with plenty of pictures. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

Crayfish are generally nocturnal, I thought. So your's might be out and about at night. Try turning off your aquarium lights.
