Always wanted sulawesi shrimp and snails since they first appeared in PFK magazine (from memory) back in the mid 2008. Today I got realised a bit of that dream with the arrival of some juvie cardinals - thanks to @JPN07 After acclimating them over a couple of hours they went into the tank and within seconds they had coloured up and were feeding away. It might just be because they are new, but these shrimp are really fascinating to watch. Cant wait until they get bigger. Excuse the dirty glass.

I got some nice specimen from my mix-aquarium with TB's, pinto's, taitibees etc, etc, The first 2 photos (I think) must be a mix from a pinto zebra and a kingkong, The red one is probably a red tiger and the same father? I've got 2 of the blacks and about 10 of the red ones, I have put them apart from the rest and see what the next genereation will be. Sorry for the quality of the photo's, they're just from my iPhone, the macrolens I ordered hasn't arrived yet :-( Greetings from the Netherlands

Using rain water or RO water is pretty *clean* water.... it doesn't have much, if anything in it. You would still need a remineralizer though.

The babies are growing along nicely, And I can see a new smaller litter getting around the tank, Happy days right now.

Cheers mate, Haha ill have to consider that. Update* A few nights ago we had really unseasonally hot weather and I forgot to turn their fan on, I found 2 dead adult males later on. Could be coincedence though I doubt it. Cooling sytem is my next priority. The babies have almost doubled in size atleast and look to be going strong. Ive been questioning whether 27ppm tds is too high?
