Thanks for the welcome! Who am I and why did I join? I think it is accurate to call me an accidental shrimp breeder. About six months ago I got ten Crystal black shrimp, from a supposedly reputable breeder, and put them in a 13,5 gallon tank, just for something different to my Malawi tank and to learn something new. After three months I got impatient and decided to add something with colour that wouldn’t cross breed so I got ten OE-tigers. I then realized that those do cross breed (Doh!) and divided the tank in two using course filter foam. All well and they started reproducing regularly but some of the shrimplets looked different and I assumed I had got an unintentional cross breed before I divided the tank. I was thinking about selling some of the CB:s and a speculator came by to have a look. "You have mischlings" she said. I have what? I googled mischling and found "jayc":s excellent write up Tibee, Taitibee, Pinto, Mischling, F1, F2 terms explained so I joined this group. Right now I have one or maybe two KK, at least one wine red and at least four or five panda shrimplets. My plan is to sell all (or most) of the OE-tigers and use that half of the tank to isolate the TB:s. Any tips are welcome as I obviously do not really know what I am doing! /Boris

that's technically an old pic now because i trimmed it back to use some of the rotala pink in the 6 foot, the hair grass as weeping moss all though it too, makes for a nice effect yeah i kind of miss it but the log is in the 6ft now, im still thinking about scrapping this but its just such a chilled little tank i feel bad pulling it down lol i have another nano i want to scape but haven't had time so i might do that soon and if i do this will most likely get the pin pulled on this little gem

The exact same part isn't very solid in a lot of my crs too I'm working on it though :-) Culling sure can be satisfying and it takes patience to see the results. It's a good excuse to setup more and more colonies anyway :-) It's good to see this thread alive and well and awesome to see your rack so successful Buck well done! Will
