Me attempt at name suggestions: Aquarium Reservoir, Aquatic Capital, Aquarium Capital Forum, Gills & Fins Forums. 1 - 3 are themed along the lines of being a central repository site for all things aquarium/aquatic. Gills and fins is just something you think about as an anatomy on shrimps or fish. <edit> One more... 5. In memory of Shrimp Keepers Forum, and much like what Kentucky Fried Chicken did going from "Kentucky Fried Chicken" to just KFC to get away from just fried chickens and expanding their menu to include other things like burgers, how about SKF Aquatic Forums. Personally, I like #5, as it retains some heritage.

So i couldn't help buy bid on an auction for 100 stems and i won. So i loaded the animals in to the ark and so began the flood! new additions to plants are Eriocaulon lividum, Syngonanthus sp 'Belem', Tonina fluviatilis and 2 others i still need to double check but i think Rotala sp "Green" and Mayaca fluviatilis. Im cranking that CO2 to try and get them kicked off, the hair grass is taking its sweet time to carpet and the clover is making heaps ground so i guess it will be my carpet? Shoulda just got 2 pots of it and left the hair grass out haha ?? lol ill keep posting even if they all melt and it goes to poo so stay tuned! In a month or so ill add some live stock when im 100% sure the tanks eco system has established.

When i started my line of tangtai i crossed females tt with males twb as my end goal was to breed backline and fishbones, it is a long process but really enjoyable especially when you start getting results, just make sure to set aside a few tanks for that to avoid inbreeding.

Looking good. Will be keen to come around in a month's time and check it out... especially when you are ready to add live stock. ;)

Love the clovers. It makes a tank look so ... natural. How are you going to keep the ADA substrate from invading the sand areas? It's already creeping onto the sand. Oh, as a suggestion for a feature fish for your tank ... I have a pair of Aphyosemion Bitaeniatum Lagos strain for sale if you are interested. PM me for a price.

Way of the Aquatic Tale - That's what Bruce Lee would have said. If you are going to use a play on words, I like "tale" rather than tail. Put them up for a re-vote, cause i didn't like any that are up there now. They should have added this question to the Census. It's better than any of those questions they asked.

I can exclude it from the search index ? This redirect was more to appease those that want to type in shrimp in the domain name. So the only way to find it would be word of mouth. It's probably a little confusing atm as the branding is still SKF but if you landed here using a different url, you would see the new brand with it's URL in the logo so would be a lot more obvious if that makes sense. Oh and you can add text up the top to show that there is a larger site. I'll do that now so you know what I mean.

I can well understand the need to revitalise and attract more members in todays online world, but I have a bit of an issue with making the new name too generic, ideally I believe the name should still hold to its roots which was shrimp. The other reason I think that SHRIMP and AUSTRALIA (or Australasia) needs to be in the name somewhere is because otherwise we will be attracting (potentially) a lot of people from overseas who do not have the same invert/moss/ plant/ fish restrictions that we do. Believe me as a MOD on another international forum it gets very tiresome having to explain over and over again that in Australia we can not just go buy some assassin snails to clear up pest snails. And that is just one instance, then there are the people that can not believe some of the extreme prices we can end up paying for certain creatures/ plants in the hobby and can not figure out that what is common in their country is probably down right rare here, and with more things being added to the banned import list going to get rarer. Also being too generic the site could end up with people wanting Aquatic Frogs sections for species such as African Clawed Frogs, or Newts and Salamanders. Although I could see merit in having a section for aquatic amphibians and reptiles we can keep, I see it as a bad idea if we had lots of people asking about ACF and we have to keep redirecting them to other sites better suited to them. At least with a name like Australasian Invert Keepers people in this general part of the world looking for Invert forums should be able to find the site easily. The site can always add more topic areas for the planted, fish, and even photography followers of the forum.

I use a worming product that has fenbendazole (different to flubendazole) as the active ingredient. I use Panacur100 (100g fenbendazole per litre) at a dose rate of 8ml per 100 litres. You can also get Panacur25 (25g fenbendazole per litre) in which case I'd dose 32ml per 100 litres. It clears planaria, hydra and also worms the fish. Shrimp are fine IME. Panacur is a livestock wormer and I think the smallest bottle is 1 litre and not cheap. You might find other worming products in smaller quantities.. or someone else on this forum will pitch in with a source. lots of info if you google search for fenbendazole and shrimp. Also see flubendazole (as opposed to fenbendazole). They seem to do the same job but are different compounds.
