Hey guys, I'm new to the forum, just wanted to show you guys a video of my shrimps I recent bought. :) I have a group of 12 shrimps and the ratio is 3 males, 9 females, and a lot of babies hidden somewhere :D Here's a video of them:

The highs and lows of shrimp keeping. Finally see some success in females getting berried and then I've lost them both. Last night that female Misch got knocked up by one of the TB (BB or Panda) and then this morning she is dead. Lucky I had the egg tumbler already running. But any offspring that make it will have to go into a cull tank, as I won't know what's what. Almost PRL and Misch x TB will be hard to differentiate surely and I'd prefer to keep my lines in check. I own the Twinstar Shrimp . It was on sale at Garnelenhaus and decided to take the plunge and try it out. Overall, the shrimps don't seem to mind it, as they sometimes swim through the bubbles it creates. I'm not sure about the positive effect - although from my observations it seems to stop the production of most algae ( even though the Shrimp version is supposed to be more targeted at preventing shrimp diseases, not algae eradication ). I'm quite happy with it overall. Not sure if I would buy one for a future tank though, as the effects aren't really tangible.

What an epic article! Just caught some in Sydney. Keen to see how they go in the next few months.
