Been keeping these very cool natives for a while now. finally got the first batch of surviving bubs. very happy to find some running around the tank. They are a very interesting shrimp to keep and observe.

Ok, the golden is attached. Also a shot of another crystal black, maybe for high temporarily. I don't think it is, I even had to play a little with the colors to improve, but maybe you can use this one for the time being until somebody can provide a better one.

Found a Crystal black cull one, see attachment. Got some pictures of a golden one, but not cull enough, so that one is already covered. Got a nice Snow White which could be something, but it's a very planted tank, so still looking for a good shot.

Good luck with that! I was away for 2 months and made up for lost time when I got back!

Wow, this site looks so full of information :) & thanks for the welcome. I'm in the UK & I'm just begining to cycle my first 30l tank. No idea how I came to be interested in keeping shrimp but the hobby has taken a hold of me.

I am adding some more plants soon with a small rearrangment of rocks, but then have a forced break as I go overseas for a few weeks. Hopefully this period away from the tank helps with this 'disease' of tank fiddling when I get back!!

@ DemonCat I'm the same I can't keep my hands out of my tanks. It used to be a common saying on here that people would warn me " Ineke step away from your tanks" . I can't help fiddling but I am better than I was ! The shrimp must be happy because they breed well with the extra hiding places etc.

Actually, Fishmosy has already corresponded extensively with me. His research interests overlap considerably with mine, and I will likely visit his lab in the not too distant future. btw, was is the meaning of your Moniker? NoGi sounds like martial arts. I have done judo for 20 years and before that I was an amateur wrestler in HS and college, so I went from NoGi to YesGi.

"Leaving the tank alone" is a skill I am yet to master, but really need to! I went low tech for a reason, and really want a 'natural' look - not scaped or trimmed to perfection. But I cant keep my bloody hands out of the tank!!!!
