For our overseas members, Oz members welcome to buy as well but just remember that pricing is in $USD. I've outsourced the whole fulfillment process for these new tees as I don't want to end up being stuck with surplus sizes like I have the last couple of times. I believe around 35% of the cost of the t-shirt comes back into supporting SKF - the rest covers SunFrog costs. Hope you like the new designs, very different to what I've had done in the past.

My second section which hold my bb's and chocolates also seem to love the food too.

Update time. My first section holds my Prl's and happy to say they are going great. I have recently been given a new food to try and the shrimp swarmed so i took some pictures.

So.. I've been looking at this thing through a microscope. I can now conclude that it wasn't a parasite. It most of all resembled what looked like the tiniest popcorn shell... And no, I haven't fed my shrimps popcorn :P My best guess is that it was a mutation/deformity of the shrimp's shell. Perhaps because of an injury during molting or something else. Either way, the shrimp died but I haven't observed any other shrimps with this particular issue.

I use those foam mats for my tanks too!! So much better than the usual Styrofoam.

Nice drawings! But you mention overstocks. When I was an admin on a car forum, we would get new designs every year for t-shirts, put them on sale for a limited time, and then send the order to be produced. The owner would order just a few extras for giveaways, other than that 100% sold before production.

Finding the cause is the ultimate goal. But I reckon, as a temporary fix while we locate the source of the problem, you need to whip out the Macropore or Purigen. Use that ASAP to reduce your Nitrate issue. Marcopore from TechDen is cheaper than Purigen if you don't have any and need to buy some. That will buy us some time while we/you figure out the source of the problem.

Yeah I think it was. Have been more careful of late with my water changes (amount and time taken) and have not had any deaths. Fingers crossed.

With moving mine to a new tank I've added lots of new stones to fill in the gaps - After reading your post I'm hoping these get initial colonisers of diatoms (which is fairly likely). - maybe a routine of every now and then replacing an old algae covered stone with a fresh one could keep a richer mosaic of food types in the tank? A bit like a river that experiences variable flows that submerge new substrates periodically. They really are an odd-ball shrimp. I've still not found a food that makes them congregate and say yum which is very different to all the other shrimp species I've kept or seen kept! Yes they eat some of the food but its "meh..." not "YUM!". They are too cool for school.

I run a similar regime for my lights over my shrimp tanks. No problems ever and (bad) algae growth is definitely hampered (i.e. string algae, Black beard ect), not so much green spot algae, which I consider to be beneficial anyway.

    1. u cannot reduce the nitrate with 20% water change, if u insist try to make more frequent waterchange for example from once a week to once every 5 days, i really bad with water change, too often would kill the shrimp too in my case, especially sensitive shrimp like taiwan bee 2. before u thinking to use nitrate remover like benibachi or mosura or seachem or anything else (i'm not sure), remember there is a case where some marketed products for shrimp will make false reading to the water tester same with other products, don't try using lot of product, i'm regret with too much product, just to realize some product would just cause new problem later... 3. i would like to say, one of KISS "S" word should mean "stable" , when my friend got more than 50ppm nitrate reading he still success breeding the prl, so i think nitrate won't be a biggest factor killing the shrimp, so just keep it simple and stable
