Just a simple example of how to attach moss to items for your shrimp tank. In these examples I have used shrimp caves and mesh. You can also apply this to driftwood, cholla, almost anything. At start up you will need the moss, item, scissors and tie line (cotton or fishing line). I also use the lid from a plastic storage box as a work bench, saves water going everywhere. Lol Simply place your item in a position easy to work with. I begin by tying the line to the item first to anchor it. I always do double knots to avoid slipping. Apply a generous amount of the moss to be attached. Subwassertang doesn't seem to attach itself as easily to items as other mosses, so may need to be tied more than others. At this stage, you simply wrap the line around the item tightly several times. I usually stand the item on its end or on its back at this stage. You can see how many times the line has gone around the item now. Now I tie the line off under the item, this way it's harder to see. Again, use a double knot for security. Then trim any excess line. And there you have it, a nice Green shelter for your shrimps!! As you can see I got carried away today!! The following images are the same process but using mesh. I hope this has been helpful! Simple but effective!! Enjoy!

Got an awesome product you want to recommend to your friends and fellow shrimp hobbyist to make life easier then share it here! If you have done a product review thats even better! Post the link to the review in your post if not be sure to let everyone know where you got it from and why you recommend it! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- @jc12 mentioned this algae scraper -http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/281731924605?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&var=580738020213&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT when i discussed my algae issues so i decided to take the leap of faither and purchase one after my poorly performing Aqua one scraper failed to perform. . Well i got it today and it performs excellent! I got the larger one given i have a 4 ftr so i am able to clean the hole back using just one hole. It seems to be well made and blades more then do the job causing the big build ups of algae to easily combine together as it rolls fdown the glass. That was not aided though by my canister filter still running so did fish some out with my net. Based on price and good build i would definitely recommend having one of these in the cupboard in the event you ever have to deal with algae. Thanks to @jc12 for the initial info

I tie my moss like that also, however I use fishing line now as I found that cotton broke up and let go

Everyone keeps saying that haha Back onto the topic for a second after my accident on the bike yesterday had the day off work still cant walk much but life goes on. I did some plans up in sketchup. As you can see i got bored. So that will be the corner of my garage. 2 3fts on top that will be divided and have my cherries in them. The middle 2ft on the top shelf will have my Endlers in them. The bottom 4ft tank will have my Oscar who is getting a tank upgrade. (rescued him from a family friend still in a small tank but its going to be soon he will get bigger tank) then the other 2 2ft tanks are from my basic rack in the house just planted tanks nothing majorly special. Oh the big 4x2x2 is the goldfish tank haha honestly the Oscar should go in there but the misses LOVES them goldfish so gotta keep her happy.
