This tank has much more of a focus on the planted side of things, but it contains some Chameleon a Shrimp and hopefully soon it will have a group of DAS and maybe Darwin Red Nose Shrimp, just waiting for the weather to be a bit warmer for them to be posted. Here's the latest full tank shot: and a photo of it on startup, the substrate has since been changed and the rock work altered some. The plant list is currently: Ammania Senegalensis (just been trimmed and not visible as it is in the back right corner) Anubias Nana 'petite' Hemianthus Callitrichoides 'Cuba' (HC) Hydrocotyle Tripartita 'Japan' Hygrophila 'Araguaia' Java Fern 'Windelov' Java Moss Ludwigia Inclinata 'Cuba' Ludwigia Repens x Arcuata 'narrow leaf' Ludwigia Repens 'Rubin' Alternanthera Reineckii Mini Mini Pellia Persicaria Sp 'Sao Paulo' Pogostemon Helferi Pogostemon Stellatus (new addition and hasn't grown into visibility, back left corner) Rotala Colorata (just been trimmed and only barely visible back/middle) US Fissiden so quite an extensive plant list for a small tank like this, but I love the overgrown jungle look and like the challenge of growing so many different plants that all have different needs, trimming requirements and growth rates. at the moment there is about 10 Chameleon Shrimp in there, although I've started spotting Shrimplets in amongst the moss so hopefully there is a few more now. as for fish, there is a school of 6 Rummynose Tetras with a rescued Cardinal that tags along, a Neon Blue German Ram, 2 Siamese Algae Eaters and a couple of Bristlenoses. some livestock shots:

Unfortunately, not that well Crabsman! Looks like something was going wrong while I was away. Algae friggen everywhere and lots of missing shrimp :( There are however, quite a few little babies floating around. I had cleaned the glass for the photo and trimmed the pot HC. The plants should have been overgrowing, not sure what went wrong. Parameters look OK relative to what they were before I left. PH - 7.8 Ammonia - 0 Nitrite - 0 Nitrate - 0 KH - 5 GH - 6 However, Dad decided to do a decent water change before I came back so maybe the parameters are lying to me? Nitrates maybe high? Not sure atm.

RHS pretty much done for now. Just need to wait for the plants to settle in. Might add some more pogo later.

Yeah, that's still going! Can't see much, due to algae, but the two small endlers have grown in there! I'll be doing some maintenance over the coming days to see if I can get the tank back on track.

Flick some photos up here, we'll all argue over what is what for you, haha.

I'm super busy at the moment so not having to do anything except for mist it with water in the morning is nice. Once work quietens down a bit and I have some free time it may be hard not to fill it full of water!

Week 3 update: not a lot to update, but starting to see some growth, hopefully everything is about to take off! Lileopsis is starting to put out new shoots and the root growth visible through the side growth is very encouraging. Pogostemon continues to grow at a good rate, new leaves are coming out every week. HC seems to have some good root growth and is putting out a few new leaves, but hasn't done a lot yet. photos:

Hello SKFers, I am in the process of organising mini interviews with some of the very best shrimp keepers around these parts. I have been luck enough to get our own SKF members @newbreed and @Gbang to be the first two interviewees. So this is your chance to ask these legendary shrimp keepers what you would like to know about them. So in the comments below add one question to either Newbreed or Gbang. Each question needs to be on a separate comment and needs to be address to either one of the above. If you like a particular question please like it. The top 10 questions based on the likes will be used for the interview. I will be asking other shrimp keepers for their permission to do an interview also but if you have certain people in mind or if you would like to be interviewed in this manner please pm me.
