I've dropped it from 30 secs down to 10. I'm not removing it as it's there to stop people from doing a DDOS attack.

I wanted to use a very few number of plants, I didn't want this and that all thrown into the tank as what I have in the past, so decided to go with Native Vallisneria, Corkscrew Vallisneria, Blyxa Japonica, Anubias nana, Bolbitis heudelotii, Windelov Java Fern, Trident Java Fern, Narrow Leaf Java Fern and Subwassertang, I wanted most of the vegetation planted to the right of the tank so that the current from the filter outflow would push the Vallisneria towards the left side of the tank, I was happy with the right side being built up and planted, although the left side was quite bare, so as suggested from a fellow SKF member (Callan), I slightly built up the substrate on the left and planted to help hide the filter intake. I took my time in regards to rescaping this tank, for a change, I'm usually rushed and in a hurry to get it all sorted and took my time filling the tank up with tap water, having taken just over half an hour to fill as I didn't want the flow too strong and disturb the planted vegetation, once the tank was full and Aqua One Water Conditioner was added, I also added 4 pebbles to create a some what native under water look but wasn't happy with them, so out they went. I'm actually more than happy with the end result, I will how ever look to purchase some more pieces of Blyxa Japonica and Vallisneria. All feedback, comments, hints, tips are welcome. Thank You.

I had the pleasure to find 8 shrimplets in the tank hosting the last diamond blue female I have left. Bad news is that the last male left seems to be a chocolate, and not a blue like I thought... Now he shows nice chocolate colors, as he was almost dark/black before... What makes me a bit sad is that the shrimplets which are 2 weeks old now, are almost clear, they do not even show a light blue tint like you can see on the pic in the red circle . Some of you is breeding blue diamonds? Is it normal to have so clear shrimplets from a dark blue female? They will darken later? Or, even though blue diamond come from chocolate, the fact the dad is a chocolate and mother a blue diamond, the result is a "like wild" pattern? Parents :

I've just got the one now, but the thought is still crossing my mind about a Chameleon only tank, haha.

Realised I didn't have any food to feed the Threads so got some fish flake food and crushed it until it was a very fine powder, sprinkle a little in the tank and off the Rainbows go, nice colour, really active and they get a long great with the Chameleon Shrimp, the Chams are getting around care free, have no hassles at all from the Threads, even the juvenile Chams can get around without any dramas, also the Threads have gotten used to the light and aren't skitish towards it no more and are roaming freely just below the surface,

Hope to see you here one day. Also hope to see clubs popping up everywhere. Was also discussed about if anywhere else is going to host shows. Which we would love. If your from nsw, sa or anywhere else and want a chance to be a judge, so we can have judges in all states let us know if your coming in March so we can get you involved. More judges = more clubs = more shows = better community.

Almost all of us shrimp keepers and aqua-scapers owe a huge debt of gratitude to Mr Takashi Amano who inspired so many of us and developed whole new tank keeping methods. And so it is with a heavy heart the word of his passing comes as a shock, and the realisation that his master pieces wont be seen again except in nature. RIP Mr Takashi Amano
