You can always have a combination of both. I have my bolbitis on driftwood with subwassertang and needle leaf Java tied too. My peacock has grown up the wall and gives a different look/perspective. Most of the mosses do well in low light so will still thrive under shade of bolbitis. Flame moss is a favourite of mine, and my shrimplets, as it has a different growth habit and is a little more interesting. Before ripping your current setup down, maybe just consider adding to what you already have?!? Sure it'll be great however you decide to go. But when in doubt just ask yourself "what would perplex do?" Lol

Cheers! It's a standard three foot tank. If I had my way I would be setting up a six footer! May have to work on the other half! Would be great to just give them more space and let them continue on.

Thanks for sharing .....love seeing other peoples tanks. You certainly look to have a good size colony there. What size is that tank?

No, sorry. The variety is too great to know which source of the petrified wood is safe. It means someone would have to test each sample.

I definitely had a slowdown last year (June through September) so there must be a natural seasonal response. But you can't beat bloodworm, small amounts, for saddle development!

Newbreed, I couldn't agree more... "What WOULD Perplex do?"

No problem. Shrimpy Daddy recommend it to me. Be aware that they have model HI98127 with 0.1pH resolution (accurate to ±0.1pH ) & HI98128 with 0.01pH resolution (accurate to ±0.05pH). They were only a few dollars different where I bought them (Amazon). If the same is true for you, make sure you get the more accurate pen. I'd be happy to answer any camera questions you have (if I can ).

She has been berried for between 10-14 days. My current tank is a bit of a jungle and didn't see her for a few days and when she appeared she was berried

If I was able to take pictures on my iPhone as good as yours I would look forward to it too haha I will be splitting up my rilis first once the tank is cycled. I'll probably wait until after the tank has been running for 2 months before I add my more sensitive shrimp as Shrimpy daddy has mentioned that ADA can leech ammonia for 2 months. I also plan on getting a decent camera after my wallet recovers from buying a decent PH pen and my new stock. So probably around Christmas... lol

I think the point of shrimp types being kept has been missed by the face book experts and other info. Crystal types are so inbreed in one type of water that lots will effect them, where as cherry types and natives are more forgiving, The point to the story I am going to get a canning for is. If you are keeping Cherry types or natives it wont make that much difference, if it dose not react to the vinegar test. If you are keeping Crystal types be careful and see what others in your area are doing, YOUR AREA as all water is different. Also what sort of water are you starting with and that is the other over looked point!!! when I did keep Crystal types 6 years ago heat got them after 2 years. I had Coral in the tank, small amounts but my water is like rain water. When I get a controlled room done one day I will keep Crystal types again so heat wont get em. The whole point to the story is, every one is to fussy about exact water and this is making them more reliant on that exact water type and the much over looked out come is, a geneticly weaker animal. MY point of view and not a fact, but food for thought Bob

A nice water change and add some bloodworms or something super high in protein :) That's what I do
