So time for an update on the CRS tank. I am so thankful that this tanks population just keep on multiplying. The graded are starting to increase as a result of Gbang's boys being added to the mix about seven months ago. I love seeing this tank each day. I have left the biofilm grow on the front glass pane now and it's wonderful to have a shrimplet swarm each day. Enjoy!! Once the new rack is up and running, I will have to separate some grades to focus their future development.

Excited or stressed? It seems not logic there could be a benefit using this product. Say it force females to molt before they are ready for it, that's not an improvement. Say it's some kind of pheromone and it just makes the males crazy, that's also not an improvement. The process form building up eggs in the female body to the moment the eggs hatch is about 2 months. The effect (whatever it may be) of this product is instantly, so I wonder what the benefit could be. Do you know what Benibachi says about this? And do they say something about the long term effects?

Hi shrimplovers! The other topic with all the pictures was getting kind of long so I post it in a new topic if you don't mind. I did my best to catch the best shrimp of this contest on video again. Enjoy, hope you like it. Feel free to share this video and spread the shrimp faith! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dLl5x1kAMfo

Ooo your must be super excited, how many you would estimate you have (i know its hard lol). My tank is not as infested as yours but i have counted i have increased my population from around 15 to 100-120.

Love the pics man. The colour on the shrimplets are already nice, keep up the good work! Might have to move east soon. Lol

Oh wow! Lovely to see so many generations. From small to adult shrimps. I see some really good quality Mosura in there as well. It's an infestation. I'd be happy to take some off your hands, if you need to get rid of some

Installed a sun sun 55 watt uv steriliser..... Cheap will see how it goes. Bottom row has benibachi soil.... I really like the look of this substrate it just has a nice look about it Top row has Mr Aqua . Only because I had it laying around. Feel like it might be a mistake to use it as to date it's only lasted 12 months. Next step is the sponge filters and airlines( on order). And lighting also on order. In the mean time I have already started cycling.

Okay so this is the latest update on the rack build. Inflow lines are 25 and 20 mm pvc with individual ball valves to each section. Outflow lines are 25 mm m&fs to 25 mm poly to 32mm and 40mm pvc back to sump Inside the tanks spray bars are made with 15mm swing arm(irrigation) it allows them to be moved around to change flow direction. 20mm stainless steel strainers to save shrimps ending up in sump Sump has k1 media in first section, filter matt and wool little bit of matrix in second compartment, twin 150 watt eheim heater and the pump is a 10000 lph pond pump. Gives 300+ lph in each compartment 10 x Tanks size per hour

That is really good man. Just make sure you test whether the rock will effect your water parameters. I know I originally wanted a nice Iwagumi aquascape with shrimp but now I wished I had picked an inert stone. I have a huge headache trying to keep the tds, ph, gh, where I want it. I guess I ended liking the shrimping more then the aquascape anyways good job.

    What do y'all think?

Yeah they would be better called Skeletons. And I am always impressed by this reference chart each time I see it, Imke did such a wonderful job on it. I mainly used the term rilli as the pattern type is familiar to many, but best keep that to the cherry realm to avoid confusion.

No worries, you can goggle "public harvest", feral fruit" to name a few and just include the major city name. Glad to help out.

sounds like an airlab 20 would do you nicely, as squgg's was saying a 20 = 20 sponges BUT that is in 30cm tanks, if you had 45cm tanks the 20 would run about 10-12.

All right before you guys hijack this thread any further, I am naming this food. Shrimp Kandy Feast. Shrimp ... well that's self explanatory. It's for shrimp. Agar is associated to desserts or sweets. Candy is sweet, and yummy. Feast cause it invokes images of a huge crowd eating. Why kandy with a 'K' ? Well just for it's origins ... check out the name's acronym

Finally managed to get pictures of the shrimp enjoying their new food...

Well done buck. That's a great prize. And way to go with the SKF spirit "D".
  23. inverted
He's one of the above commentators ;) if I have been following the forum recently. Good skf spirit right there.

This would be where you got the name from, this was produced by Imke some time ago & has widely been accepted into common use. Having said that, the term "White Rili" has been used & accepted foras long if not longer on this forum, so both can be considered correct.
