First of all I would like to thank fishymosy for the Riffle shrimp. He went above and beyond so that I can have these great shrimp in my tank. Here are a few photos from the wall tank The shrimp settled in really well into the tank and cope fine with all the fish including breeding kribensis which chase them away from their eggs and fry. And the full tank shot from the other room

I'm probably being a bit pedantic and not moving with the times. It would be good to get some clarification though. i don't sell mine and don't intend to but eventually i would like to get a few more pure TB so want to be sure what I'm getting. On the other hand I have a beautiful little KK TBM and another 5 shadow panda TBM and if i can get them to breeding age I might just use my own breeding. I still think as a group it would be good to have a standard that we accept at least for sales on our site.

A lot of people work on once the middle white band stretches all the way down the body, it becomes panda not KK.

I've had a quick look around and it seems good. It seems fast enough to me and very familiar so those of us that don't like change won't have much to complain about this time

We are very lucky with shrimp in that they will eat a variety of foods, unlike most fish. In terms of dry foods, there have been a few new products come onto the market which are much cheaper than ever before. For example bossaquaria's crack and snow. I think this pretty much makes producing your own dry food inefficient. I'd much rather spend time with family or shrimp than spend an hour or two making shrimp food, especially since the amount of money I could save is negligible. However there are lots of diy foods that can be fed quickly and easily. Fruits, flowers, pollen, vegetables, ect. ect. You'll find lots of info on these foods in threads within this subforum (Food and Nutrition).

Its an alternative to the algae/biofilm that naturally grows on surfaces submerged in water. So you dont grow the algae. You use a dried algae product like spirulina, mix with the egg white, paint the resulting algae paste onto the rock, let it set, and then its ready to feed.

I think this hits the nail on the head. Ultimately if you need to do a big WC to spare deaths in the future it could save you deaths. Doing a big WC doesnt mean you have an extreme risk either it depends how different the paremeters are and how quick you actually add your new water. When i do my water changes i will just pour 30 litres or so into my tank and no deaths you just have to do things the safest way
