The initial stock on this quest evolved from the blue velvets, red rill blue base.....selective breeding for approx 3-4 generations. Through natural mutations, "blue's" from black & brown cherry were added to the breeding stock. The results, were a culling rate of 80-90%. Frustrating at the best of times, but decided that this journey had to take place to add the depth of colour etc.... Eventually natural mutations via my carbon rilli were added to the project. These were selectively picked for their body coloration, with minimal rill pattern in existence as possible. The results after 1-2 years of selective breeding.... Ive recently added Gbang's blue dream to the colony, to strengthen their coloration, and to improve them breeding true. Looking forward towards the next 3-5 generations, were I expect them to do so...... The quest continue's .......

Here's a pic of another two that I found in my snow white tank, they may enter the program. There is the bonus that one of them is carrying eggs. Cheers mick

Super excited, new generation emerged......Not entirely sure whether they should be directed towards my spotted head pinto project. Loving the colour/shade separation, trust the division will be maintained. Time will tell..

This past weekend I got under the Cade tank sorted to what I always planned. Got the Eheim 2215 going into a UV light for sterilisation , then going into a Eheim 2217 and then through the Hailea chiller. Since once again my water parameters are struggling to maintain a PH of above 6.5 which for me in my opinion is about the least I would run a shrimp tank ( tested 5.9) I am simply over specialised shrimp and plant soils..... I have run tanks at PH 7.2 to 7.4 along side the Cade , these high PH tanks have shown me great growth and no mortality. So all I can hypothesise is if it works for you with low ph then great. I will be going neutral or there abouts for now on :-)
