Malaysian trumpet snails are hard to control as they give birth to live snails. Personally i like them as they aerate the soil but when there is too many i put a piece of zucchini in the tank overnight, by the morning I can't see the zucchini for snails and just scoop it out with a net. Added bonus is a little treat for the shrimp. When you squash them try to aim for the larger ones to try and slow the breeding cycle. Cheers mick

Very nice, the red cherries will really stand out. Can't wait to see shrimp in there and it all grown in. Cheers mick

LOL I did actually. I asked if he's on any shrimp specific forums and he named an overseas one and said he's on a couple of others. So I spruked SKF and said how we are the best Aussie one I've seen with great people and a lot of info on there aswell. And he agreed and said he was already a member. The way the Adelaide shrimp scene is going it might be time to have a little old Adelaide SKF meet and greet day in the future. lol

I know who is supplying most if not all of their shrimp. It's hard to keep up with the demand. They are even taking lower grade shrimp just for people to get started.,its good to see shops finally catering for shrimp now.

She's berried already!! And so far I've spotted around 20 gorgeous little Mischling shrimplets swimming around & grazing in the tank! 1 in particular is extremely eye catching, but I can't get a decent pic with my iPhone.

There are nice carbon rillis around, my colony has been going for f4+, but still not getting the consistency in pattern and quality..... have been focus on getting a blue body carbon rilli, but the clear body is also within the colony... should have some some available soon if you're keen...
