Is it normal for baby cherries to grow at different rates?

I have some baby shrimp who I believe were from the same batch, however half of them are about twice the size of the others. They're around 6 weeks old. I'm not sure if it's more likely that I had another berried girl I didn't notice in the tank, or if it's normal for them to grow at different rates?

thanks

In short, yes, shrimp from the same batch will grow at different rates

BUT two distinct size classes suggests to me that you more than likely had two shrimp drop some young.

As Ben said yep, all spawns of every thing grow at different rates and there is some Science to suggest in a high percentage of cases males are growing faster, it is not a blanket rule but true for  a lot of things

Shrimp are most likely different as females are usually bigger, so it stands to reason they will grow faster, no facts there to back up that theory just speculation
