Safest way to alter pH

Hey,

So i have a tank full of Sakura and Red Rili shrimp with crystals on their way. The pH is 6.8 and i was wondering what is the safest way to alter pH? A lot of mixed opinions on the internet about using pH down or buffers but as its planted and established (8 months) it would be a nightmare to change substrate to a buffering type. I use Fluval Stratum.

Thanks

You can use benibachi Fulvic grain to buffer the ph. Just add it in gradual amounts to reduce the ph in increments and avoid stress on the shrimp.

+1 for Fulvic grains, gotta do it as naturally as possible with shrimp & the Fulvic acids in the grains are as natural as you're gonna get. Never use commercial buffers or pH down etc, you can't fix shrimp problems with fish remedies! :thumbsu:
