G'day Guys,

Today I made the trip to visit Green Chapter to pick up some items. They are more of a normal aquarium shop but I thought you may enjoy some pictures.

The shrimps. They sold a few different PRL lines, pintos and tb's. The were bloody Mary's and gold backs.

Unfortunately I was not able to spend heaps of time in this store as the wife was waiting haha. Again I hope you enjoy the pictures and sorry for the bad photography.

This is what I got myself here but I am pretty sure everyone has got these now.

Yeah it's a great place for a holiday. Great cheap food, good shopping and lots of things to do. Now I keep learning of new places to visit for my hobby so it's even better lol.

It does suck but as you told me before eventually everything becomes available we just got to be patient. I believe we have some great breeders and the pintos I have seen can almost be matched by the one we have in Australia.

Got to borrow the father in laws car.

WOW !!

Nice car. Won't even ask how much it was to purchase in Singapore.

Cars there are expensive.

What is BioSpon, that you bought 5 boxes of?

Not much has changed in GC since I was there a year ago.

Yeah cars are expensive in Singapore no doubt. Just to get the certificate of entitle (the certificate to buy a car ATM will cost between 30k to 50k) that car was just one I saw at marina bay sands I wish it was driving it lol. But I know it would easily have cost at least 800k.

Although the in laws do have a nice car I hate driving it, too scared to have a accident! Jayc do you know of any other places to visit? There was one I was told amount but forgot the name of the store. It's suppose have a great shrimp section too.

Declare it as "pet food". But when they inspect tell them it's "fish food". They'll look at it and realise it's not raw, but processed and properly packaged. They'll let  you go without any issues.

No problem.

You've already visited the best shops. The rest are predominantly fish shops first with some shrimp.

It's always fun looking around c328 and polyart with stuff everywhere. Organised chaos.

The farms in Seletar are a great visit, seeing the big ponds of fish. I remember a shop that had lots of arowanas. Another with koi. Same aquarium accesories can be had for cheap too.

.

Side note, Jayc, these Biospon can filter up to 58l tanks. They are amaze balls!! I have purchased some for my new rack and have just set two up in a new cherry/tiger/snowball tank??

The sponge and media canister are held onto the unit by magnets, so once in place, it is really easy to remove the sponge and canister to clean, then just click back into place. You dont have to remove the whole unit each time. I had been waiting on GC to get back to me about them, but a keeper in Melbourne bought heaps into Australia. They are available at the moment over here for around $38 each, plus postage. (Depending on availability)

I was not able to really ask questions and look at things closely at this store. All the filtration was hidden behind a partition in the corners of the tank.

Did you speak to Ron?

Ron owns the shop. He's rough around the edges, and is a heavy chain smoker.

If you ever go back there. Ask for Ron, then shout him a ciggie, while having a ciggie with him ask to see the filtration.

Thanks for the info,

I doubt I'll be able to make it there again this trip but next time I'll go with a pack for him. Only thing is I don't smoke lol
