Oatmeal

Hello everyone

Today i tested a bit of oatmeal and the shrimps seems to love it. Does anyone use oatmeal as a regular food ?

I do. But not as a regular / staple food. I feed only once in a while. Oats is a good source of beta glucan.

Never thought you could use oatmeal! Do you microwave/boil it first? It won't turn mushy? Does it sink?

Hmmm steff i just use those cerials from de supermarket on the healthy products. I just put a bit and it sink in no time.

Feed it raw, and yes it will sink.

Wont turn mushy if its raw.

Did not know what beta glucan is for so I figure I'll share.

Seems that the function is to improve the immune system of the shrimp.

And oat is cheap too. Will add as variety for my shrimp and breakfast for me!

Eheh yap i eat it as a breakfast thats why i have them around. Today i round it up into powder so i can mix a few in my mix food

Too curious and decided to drop a piece. The shrimps love it! They practically swarmed at the piece of oat! Too cute. Great food!

I give the shrimps and fish rolled oats a lot, it's so cheap and easy, all the shrimp and fish seem to really enjoy it :)
