My auto waterchange system

So I was asked to explain my auto WC system & I thought I'd start a thread so I could be a bit more detailed. :encouragement:

First of all I put a tap at the end of the return pipe going back to the tanks

Then I ran a hose to the waste water tank, I used RO hose & a 3x1.5 x1.5 tank

At at the end of the RO hose I put an irrigation dropper to regulate the flow to what I want, about 1-2 drops per second

On this system I'm using one of the Maize 100L barrels from Bunnings, my other system has the one from Aldi & they are exactly the same

I started with a piece is normal 13mm hose on the tap

jayc asked for a close up of the barrel water level system, so here it is. I drilled a hole in the barrel & put a bulk head in it with an elbow to a hose joiner & the hose to indicate the water

From the 13mm hose I got a joiner from an irrigation place to join to RO hose for the float level valve

From there I ran the RO hose to the float valve back in the sump to refill it with new water. I fill the barrel up with RO water mix it up wit an air stone.

Squiggle, want to ask that the 100l tank is holding tap water or RO water? and how u control water come out from RO since there are 2 output, 1 for collecting and another is waste water? ( I saw your floating system for the RO collect, how do u stop water go through ur RO unit when the float stop the RO output?)

I think you are a bit confused dude, I filter the RO water separately into 25L drums & then pump it into the 100L drum when it is empty. I mix up the SS minerals in the drum so the water is premixed before it goes from the 100L drum to the sump through the float valve. :encouragement:
