Prices of rare plants?

Hello,

I'm trying to gauge the current going rate for some rarer plants like different varieties of Bucephalandra sp. and Trident Leaf Java Fern.

I'm finding it difficult to know what a fair price to ask is and obviously don't want to rip people off or get ripped off myself.

Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask this, I wasn't sure if it should go in the for sale section or not.

Just researched, and the last sale for the trident appear to be $35-$50 for a four leaf plant...buc's seems to be around the $25 - $400 ?

Yes thats the right range. Buces are difficult to tell a price for because it will depend on rarity and size. The Kedagang for example is now fairly common so $25-50 depending on size. The purple or similar are a little rarer so go for $50-150 once again depending on size. The rarest specimens will go for much more and if you have a massive plant you can likewise basically charge what you want.

Depends on how much the buyer wants to pay.

Average is $150 for a plant with rhizome, roots system, mature leaves.
