There as so many conflicting reports on this

Some say they are just normal tigers with specific features like the ones below.

More specifically, I've read that a super tiger has a some whites on it's stripes but not as much as a tibee

Thoughts?

Apparently some germany breeder says this

As shown on the picture above, Supertiger have...

"The last group that I keep is the "Super" Tigers. These shrimp have a good amount of variation in their colors. They range tan to reddish body color and their stripes being solid black to having white with the black lines. The largest Super Tiger I have seen is around 1" long. Babies are light in color and resemble Blue Tigers with the exception of the golden eyes. They don't start showing vibrant coloration until they are about ½ grown. The shrimp to the right is a young Super Tiger."

As far as I'm aware a super tiger looks just like the first two pics. I have been hunting for them for a good while now but no luck so far. They are also found like that in the wild and not cross bred to give this appearance. From my research they should not have any white in them, this means they are cross bred and not a true super tiger. The stripes can however be black, blue or red and are found like this in the wild, but the blue is by far the most common.

The apparent super tigers that have available so far here have been F1 crosses from what I have been told. I'm very happy to be corrected of course and maybe even sent a sample

Imke had a good write up on super tigers but she has taken her blog down.

Just my two cents.

Was having this exact discussion with another member a while ago. It was always my understanding that a supertiger was very different. The orange face/tail gives it away as well as the absence of orange eyes, size and thick bands. But supertigers to my understanding do not have white. Also in the photo of the supertiger you posted with the white it doesnt display the 360 degree band around its tail.

One interesting thing he mentioned was "Bacteria pressure", which I guess just means number of bacteria around.  Yet I see all these other videos from shrimpkeepers bragging about how much bacteria their filtering system holds. Also interesting is no mention of using anti-biotics to treat bacterial infection.  I think that has fallen out of favor recently.

It has been a few weeks now and I have done a couple of large water changes. I tested the water parameters this morning, GH6 and KH2, TDS 140 and PH 7.5. Obviously the PH is off but there isn't anything in the tank that should cause the PH to rise to this figure so I will just run the tank for another month with 10% weekly water changes (probably just with RO water) and see where we are at that point. The RO water tests at PH6, and the KH and GH in the tank could come down as they are at the upper limits for Caridina shrimps! There are only about 10 very small snails in there at this point, but they seem to be doing well enough.

I believe these to be very rare in Australia so you may even consider making it a longer term plan and produce your own by starting with the best CRS you can get as that is where the pure lines started! Depends how patient and interested in the project you are, but would save money as well? If I recall correctly it takes from 8 generations of selective breeding? They sell them at micro aquatic shop but do not ship to Western Australia, but that means they are available in Australia. https://microaquaticshop.com.au/products/pure-red-line-grade-ss-shrimp Good luck and just maybe smeone on here may point you in the right direction or be able to supply you with some.
