overflow box for sump ??

Hi all

i am after some help, i would like to make my own overflow for a sump i will soon build

any advice for an overflow would be greatly apreciated :)

best thing to do is go to an aquarium shop and have a look how they are set up and work. the biggest problem with an overflow is stopping the shrimp from

ending up in the sump :)

another option is to drill the hole at the top water line and put a stainless steel mesh guard over it

Agree with dean on this I have an hob overflow box and I have also recently drilled holes in my tanks IMO easier to set up with holes drilled hob overflow box it f'd when power goes out lol

ok best way to solve this problem is to use some wide sticky tape and tape a rectangle Chinese food container just under where you will be drilling.

this way all the glass shavings will slide over the tape into the container and not the tank :)

iv stop putting up all the shrimp for sale as i get to many emails and just dont have time to answer everyone.
