Im wondering if anyone here as looked at what affect if any varying water temp makes on the % male to female. A lot of fish can be manipulated to produce more of a single sex by either incteasing or decreasing water temp duringbthe gestation term. I used to work at a freshwater yabby farm and we used this technique to produce mostly males as they could griw up to 4 times faster if put in a all male grow out pond as they werent wasting energy trying to mate . Anyway my point is would adusting the temp have an affect on shrimp development in the same way. If so being able to produce more females would definetly speed up the development of lines

Rumour of Temp & PH affecting the sex of shrimps, but have not attempted any experiments .... don't want to upset mother nature, BUT, it'll be great if someone can actually perform a thorough study. Who's got spare tanks ?
