30cm cube filtration+ heating

Hi all.

I've just got a new 30cm cube that I'm setting up for a planted shrimp tank.

I am trying to work out the best way to remove the heater and filter from the tank to make it look nice and clean.

So far I've come up with 2 options;

1) Use my old Aquis 500 canister filter and put a hydor inline heater on it.

2) get a new EDEN 511 mini canister with the heater attachment.

Both will cost about the same amount of money.

The Aquis500 holds HEAPS more media but it may have too much flow for the tank

The Eden's are apparently awesome but they have to be at tank level and it will hold less media.

I'm not sure which way to go at this stage, any ideas/suggestions?

I've heard nothing but good things about the Edens, should get the glass Lilly pipes too :victorious: Can't wait to see this up & running :encouragement:

Ive heard inline heaters slow the flow right down, so your old filter might still work? Ive got an eden 511 and I think its a POS in my opinion

I have both the eden 501, and 511.

The 501 is a bit, lacking.

511 is awesome good.

Anyway you can slow the flow on the 500?
