Very nice . I like my chili Endlers but can't catch the females to isolate them when they are ready to have their babies so still haven't bred them.

Very nice Endlers. I see that you have males with white or pale blue dorsal fins, do you also have any males with orange and black dorsal fins?

Here are a couple of my boys to show you what I mean about the orange and black dorsal. This first guy is still only fairly young. DSCF3027_zpsa0dc3f17.jpg P1080471_zps9fb1e028.jpg P1070748-1_zpscf50a731.jpg

The second one has a beautiful shade of pink/purple in the middle of his body, very cool! :victorious: I'd try to line breed that one & see if you can get a all purple Endler :encouragement:

You asked for it. This is my green tiger that loves me so much he wears his heart on his tail for everyone to see :tears_of_joy: P1000842_zpscf0c8424.jpg P1070078.jpg P1070075.jpg P1070074.jpg And finally one of my white dorsal fin boys. P1070092.jpg Endlers are the devils own spawn when it comes to getting good photos of them.

Sadly no chilli although I have seen them online. I also don't really have more room for livebearers so no chance of having chilli endlers in the near future. Here are some newer pics of my tigers and ribbon black bars. P1010069_zps78792def.jpg P1010070_zpsa145132c.jpg Annoyingly all the pictures I took of the other males didn't turn out any good because they will NOT sit still. I call this next black bar ribbon tail because the orange top and bottom of the tail looks like ribbons flowing like gymnastic dancers ribbons. P1010099_zps6217588f.jpg

Baccus, I love the tiger with the heart on his tail....and the black bar with the white dorsal fin is very pretty.

They are a lovely active, inquisitive little fish, the only complaints I have about them is that its darn hard to select which fish (males) you want to remove from breeding and that the males seem to take for ever to finally fully colour up. I quite like the green tigers but since they are a fish that you need to look closely at to really appreciate their colour and delicate pattern they do not sell well at the local pet shop. The black bars however seem to sell out really quickly. I do like the chilli endlers they are vibrant little fellas. Just need a blue endler and I might finally be able to get rid of our blue guppy population.

One interesting thing he mentioned was "Bacteria pressure", which I guess just means number of bacteria around.  Yet I see all these other videos from shrimpkeepers bragging about how much bacteria their filtering system holds. Also interesting is no mention of using anti-biotics to treat bacterial infection.  I think that has fallen out of favor recently.

It has been a few weeks now and I have done a couple of large water changes. I tested the water parameters this morning, GH6 and KH2, TDS 140 and PH 7.5. Obviously the PH is off but there isn't anything in the tank that should cause the PH to rise to this figure so I will just run the tank for another month with 10% weekly water changes (probably just with RO water) and see where we are at that point. The RO water tests at PH6, and the KH and GH in the tank could come down as they are at the upper limits for Caridina shrimps! There are only about 10 very small snails in there at this point, but they seem to be doing well enough.

I believe these to be very rare in Australia so you may even consider making it a longer term plan and produce your own by starting with the best CRS you can get as that is where the pure lines started! Depends how patient and interested in the project you are, but would save money as well? If I recall correctly it takes from 8 generations of selective breeding? They sell them at micro aquatic shop but do not ship to Western Australia, but that means they are available in Australia. https://microaquaticshop.com.au/products/pure-red-line-grade-ss-shrimp Good luck and just maybe smeone on here may point you in the right direction or be able to supply you with some.
