Great work Nogi! I think I will be asking you for more advice soon enough. I like how you have the shutter speed just right, to black out the background.

Mate, TBH they were fluke. I took around 50 shots of which I kept 6 that came out pretty good. Guess that's the advantage of digital. I'm stille experimenting.

What did you place the flash on when it was pointing down into the tank?

I have a cheap tank with lids :)

Ok, it was suggested to me elsewhere to remove the glass as it reflects/diffracts a lot of the light. I was hoping you had a solution for me lol

May have to look into setting up a rail or something.

Was it their first time that they were berried? If so, a lot of mine drop part/all of their eggs the first time.

Yea. Some drop a lot and few even died when berried for the first time! They should get berried again soon. Don't worry

Yeah, just the first time it's happened to me. I've got around 9 that are saddled so we'll see what happens.

Thanks. No updates yet. Just waiting to start the LED project for this tank now. Currently battling lots of little particles in the tank. I don't think my little 2217 is up to the task any more.

Was fooling around with my flash pointing down and thought I would try some full tank shots.

And one of my new fish in the tank to keep the worm population down. I had little bloodworms covering almost 70% of the substrate surface. 8 of these and another 8 of some other macro fish and 24hrs later, can't see a single worm LOL Must have snacked on enough to scare them back underground.

awesome flashlight pics nogi, makes me wish for glass instead of open top! actually thinking of getting lids for most of my tanks as evaporation is a pain for me at the moment.

Thanks guys. No flashlights used in the photo. The twin T8's were actually on as were the room lights LOL. I had my flash firing down, used the 100mm macro lens and left it on the manual settings I use to take macro shots. Came out ok so I took another with the 2nd tree.
