Yep those eggs are definitely saveable (get 2 toothpicks pretty easy to do) I find it better when I put it near the outlet, flow of water passing against rather then bubbles rising from below, should be hatching in couple days! Sorry for the loss mate, what's going on why are so many members losing shrimp lately? Especially berried ones!

That's some really good photography. Make sure you keep those eggs tumbling to keep the fungus away.

I have scaped them off with a scalpel and are now in a fine mesh net with some weed to attach if they wish ? :/ :P

Might give some more air underneath as MrShrimp mentioned keep them tumbling. Thanks everyone for your quick replies.

I'll try the outlet as that's what Chi suggested and that's how they are for now. I took a few and plonked them in the tank and some on the surface weed to see if they'd hatch :/

they have been cropped and zoomed in a stupid amount to see where I where the focus point was but still heaps better than before...

Just thought I'd share how I setup my egg hatcher, I'm using a SS tea strainer/infuser (in half) and a plastic plant pot with suction cup placed where the water flow is.

Hope it helps, so far it has hatched quite a few eggs, of course the longer the mum held before she died will have better success rates. Looking at the eggs you have it will be a few days most...If you use this method I guarantee you will have most if not all hatch.

DAMN forgot to warn you about the snails! That is why I use a pot plant, the tea strainer and a mesh top, to stop the invaders! They are real pests when it comes to eggs! Sorry buddy, they were so close to hatching as well...

Wraithie Snails got into the net I set up in main tank with eggs as the GB girl died. This time round shrimps will hopefully survive. Am I best to remove the parents and raise fry in breeding box on own?

They are the small common tank variety ;)

I know others would disagree with me and say best to raise in tank but I have had great success and survival rates raising the shrimplets in the breeder without any adults, although I notice they grow a bit slower. So it is all up to you and what you think works, try it and see for yourself, as said I have had great success as they do not need to compete for food and can always find it in the area of breeder, also no adults around to hassle them.
