mystery creature

Hi all,

I have had the odd death in my CRS tank over the past few weeks, seems to coinside to when I add a indian almond leaf for some reason, so I soke them beforehand know. However had 1 CRS bite the dust overnight and found this creature in my tank:

Tried to grab it with tongs but it was to quick. Thinking it may be a damsel fly nymph, however not quite the same, any ideas?

im not 100% sure.. a side pic mayb easier to see it..

but it does look like a damsel fly nymph..

net him up and destroy him...!

oh and keep an eye out.. maybe other around

easier said then done, I can't find the damned thing. might go buy a shrimp net from the lfs and hope it comes out of hiding in the meantime

Ahhhhh I thought I'd seen enough for everyone (6) kill it and get your hunting gear out ready to kill any more!!!

Siphon it out if you cant get it with tweezers, these little buggers kill a few fish fry as well! Another pest we don't need!

I have one of these -

It deals with aquatic pests very very well!

Yes is 100% damsel fly nymph. Kill the bas*%€d :beaten: Honcho is right, there might be another 1 or more. So keep your eye out. Last time i had them in my tank, i found 3.

Thanks guys, even the extreme methods are appreciated, bloody smoke alarm keeps going off though! Main problem is I can't locate the bugger, will probaly have to pull everything out tomorrow and have another go.

Update. Happy to report Nymph caught and disposed of in a humane manner.

Just an update, lost a couple more CRS and low and behold there were at least 2 more nasties in the tank. Hopefully all out now and happier days ahead. Disposal of these too was not as humane as the first.
